Most military retail discounts require a one-time verification through ID.me, SheerID, GovX, or WeSalute. You verify your service status once — with a military ID, CAC card, or DD-214 — and that verified identity unlocks discounts at any participating retailer. ID.me is the most widely accepted, covering hundreds of brands including Nike, Under Armour, Home Depot, and Lowe’s. GovX is built specifically for government and military members, often with steeper pricing than those brands offer anywhere else publicly.

Who Qualifies?

Most programs cover active duty (all branches, including Guard and Reserve on active orders), veterans with honorable discharge, military retirees, and immediate family members. Some extend to DoD civilians and first responders — eligibility is noted on each listing below.

Stacking and Maximizing Discounts

Military discounts often stack with sale prices. Home Depot and Lowe’s both allow their 10% military discount on top of sale pricing and clearance items. Many retailers maintain separate military-only storefronts — Adidas and Under Armour have dedicated portals with prices deeper than any public sale.
