Free National Park Access for Military
Any current U.S. military member and their dependents receive a free America the Beautiful — National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass. This covers entrance fees at all 400+ National Park Service sites plus federal recreation areas managed by the Forest Service, BLM, and Fish and Wildlife Service. Pick it up at any federal recreation site that charges entrance fees — bring your CAC card or military ID. The pass covers the entire vehicle (up to four adults).
Theme Parks: Check Your ITT Office First
Major theme parks run their own military programs, but the steepest discounts are almost always through the ITT (Information, Tickets & Travel) office on your installation. Disney’s Military Salute tickets typically run $89–$99/day vs. $109–$189+ at the civilian gate. Universal Orlando’s Military Salute runs seasonally. Six Flags and SeaWorld discount through MWR year-round. Always check your installation’s ITT office before buying directly from the park — the installation price is almost always the best available.
Streaming Services
Military streaming discounts vary by service and change periodically. Hulu offers a verified military discount through ID.me. Some services don’t advertise discounts publicly but will apply them when you contact support with a verified military credential. Movies and Live Events
Regal, AMC, and Cinemark all offer discounts for active duty and veterans through their loyalty programs or with military ID at the box office. The NFL Salute to Service campaign involves all 32 teams offering discounted tickets, often through Tickets for Troops or USO programs. Sporting event discounts vary by team — your MWR office frequently has access to group ticket programs not publicly listed anywhere else.
